Liudas Navickas was the beginner of the dynasty (1908-2002) who gave rise not only to Lithuanian figure equestrian sports but also to a whole pleiad of riders. Before the 1st World War Navickas was an army lancer. After the war he worked with horses and horsemen actively taking part in sports, he became a triathlon and a six time champion of figure riding. L. Navickas was awarded the name of Lithuanian “Coach of Honor”. His son Aleksas Navickas (1936-1994m) became a Lithuanian show jumping and Three day event champion and defended the honor of the country in a number of Nation’s competitions. A. Navickas also was awarded the name of Lithuanian “Coach of Honour”. All four grandchildren of L. Navickas including A. Navickas and subsequent generation also rode. The youngest daughter Victoria became an expert professional rider. She graduated from the Pedagogical Institute and has been successful in Lithuania as well as international competitions. Her husband Stasys Jasas repeatedly gained the title of Lithuanian show jumping champion as well as the winner of many international competitions. Together they are raising the fourth dynasty of horsemen.
